Let’s look at our new vocabulary words for this lesson.

The word ‘bad’ is the opposite of good. It means that someone or something does not do things or function the right way. One who is bad enjoys harming others.

I don’t know why anyone would want to be bad. I don’t think I know anyone who is bad. However, there are always bad people in most movies who are out to destroy the world.

• He is a bad boy.
• The bad boy kicked the girl.

Our next word is ‘at’. This is a preposition that is used to describe the location of a person or item. It is used to describe the number of someone’s house or the place where they are.

I work at a school. She is at my house. You live ‘in’ a city. You live ‘on’ Main Street. You live ‘at’ 3275 Main Street. Did you notice how specific the word ‘at’ in determining where you live.

• He works at the mall.
• Are you at home now?

And the final word is ‘has’. This is a verb used to describe ownership or belonging of some possession or attitude. It is used in the third person singular for the verb ‘to have’.

Donald has millions of dollars. He has more money than he knows what to do with. He has more than enough money. Do you know anyone who has a million dollars?

• She has a computer we can borrow.
• He has some really bad attitudes that we need to deal with.
